On Monday, 8 September 2014, at night at 3:13, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Mažeikiai–Skuodas national road (kilometre 13.81), a Volkswagen Passat rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed.
