On Saturday, 6 September 2014, in the morning at 10:46, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 37.76), a BMW 520 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 100 km/h.
