On Friday, 12 September 2014, in the afternoon at 12:15, in Šilalės district municipality, Gražjūrio village, on the Kvėdarna–Švėkšna–Saugos national road (kilometre 2.90), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW X5 and an Audi 80. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the BMW (29 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules and failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
