On Monday, 22 September 2014, at night at 0:55, in Raseinių district municipality, Šiluvos town, on Jono Pauliaus Ii street, at the junction with Ežerėlio street, a Mazda 323 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Mazda (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
