On Monday, 22 September 2014, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Šv. Gertrūdos street near No. 7, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz E300, a Toyota Avensis Verso and a Citroen C5. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.22‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
