On Friday, 17 October 2014, at night at 23:35, in Šiauliai, on Gumbinės street near No. 80, an Opel Astra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Opel, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene.
