On Saturday, 18 October 2014, in the evening at 18:16, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 159.30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 D and a Ford Galaxy registered in Latvia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (9 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (1.04‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
