On Saturday, 25 October 2014, in the evening at 22:08, in Panevėžio district municipality, on Sporto g street near No. 7, a Volkswagen Passat hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (34 years of driving experience), who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs and committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
