On Sunday, 2 November 2014, in the afternoon at 15:50, in Molėtų district municipality, on the Žemaitkiemis–Valai–Balninkai regional road (kilometre 9.86), an Audi 90 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
