On Sunday, 2 November 2014, in the evening at 22:25, in Kaunas, on Sąnašos street near No. 3, an Alfa Romeo 145 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Alfa Romeo (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.12‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
