On Saturday, 8 November 2014, in the evening at 18:07, in Jurbarko district municipality, Pavambalių village, a BMW 525 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the BMW (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.93‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
