On Monday, 10 November 2014, in the evening at around 19:00, in Radviliškio district municipality, on Gedimino street, at the junction with Šiaulių street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Renault Laguna and a BMW 525. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Renault (1 year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (1.34‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
