On Friday, 14 November 2014, in the morning at 7:30, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 32.20), a Ford Transit FT 100 registered in Latvia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Ford (a citizen of Latvia) (17 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
