On Sunday, 23 November 2014, at night at 3:57, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 200.08), a Volvo S80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volvo (2 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.30‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
