On Tuesday, 9 December 2014, at night at around 2:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 275.60), a Honda Accord hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Honda (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, there was freezing rain, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
