On Friday, 26 December 2014, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Triušiai–Kretinga regional road (kilometre 7), a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a BMW 316 and an Opel Vectra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to comply with road signs or markings and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
