On Saturday, 27 December 2014, in the morning at 10:51, in Palangos city municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 32.80), a BMW 318d registered in Latvia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW (a citizen of Latvia) (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
