On Tuesday, 30 December 2014, in the evening at 22:57, in Telšių district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 69.08), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Subaru Forester and a Citroen C3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Subaru (8 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
