On Thursday, 25 December 2014, at night at around 3:00, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Kiti keliai local road (kilometre 2), a Volvo S40 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
