On Monday, 12 January 2015, in the evening at 17:50, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Smilgiai–Pakruojis national road (kilometre 2.30), a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH 42T, a bicycle and a Schmitz Cargobull S.CS24-13.62. One person was injured — a 51-year-old cyclist (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Volvo (14 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene.
