On Wednesday, 14 January 2015, in the evening at around 18:00, in Biržų district municipality, on the Parovėja–Juozeliškiai–Virškupėnai regional road (kilometre 4), a Seat Alhambra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Seat (14 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
