On Saturday, 17 January 2015, in the afternoon at 16:03, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 110.94), a BMW Serie 5 rolled over. One person was injured — a 27-year-old passenger of the BMW (a citizen of Russia) (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the BMW (12 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
