On Sunday, 18 January 2015, in the afternoon at 16:47, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Kelmė–Noreišiai–Bubiai regional road (kilometre 5.20), a Ford Fiesta hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. Three people were injured — a 32-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient), a 3-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 34-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Ford (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
