On Wednesday, 21 January 2015, in the afternoon at 13:46, in Anykščių district municipality, Vaičiuliškių village, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 94.60), a Mercedes-Benz Actros registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (a citizen of Poland) (37 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
