On Saturday, 17 January 2015, in the evening at around 18:00, in Lazdijų district municipality, Seirijų town, on Metelių street, an Audi A6 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was fog, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
