On Friday, 23 January 2015, in the morning at 9:10, in Druskininkų municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 125.88), a Mercedes-Benz Actros registered in Russia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (a citizen of Belarus) (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
