On Friday, 23 January 2015, in the morning at around 7:00, in Kaunas, on Baltijos street near No. 96, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Nissan X-Trail and a Honda Civic 5DR. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Nissan (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
