On Thursday, 29 January 2015, in the afternoon at 16:50, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 104), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz 1114 and a Mazda 626. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (19 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
