On Sunday, 1 February 2015, in the morning at 5:50, in Skuodo district municipality, on the Mažeikiai–Skuodas national road (kilometre 50), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane Scenic and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Renault, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
