On Saturday, 7 February 2015, in the evening at around 22:00, in Šilalės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 234.90), a Mercedes-Benz 312 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
