On Saturday, 7 February 2015, at night at 23:20, in Varėnos district municipality, on the Babriškės–Varėna–Eišiškės national road (kilometre 20.12), a Renault Megane Scenic ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene.
