On Thursday, 19 February 2015, at night at 2:04, in Ukmergės district municipality, Krikštėnų village, on Klevų street near No. 8, a Volkswagen Sharan ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (9 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.65‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was raining, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
