On Wednesday, 4 March 2015, in the afternoon at 16:05, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Alytus–Simnas–Kalvarija national road (kilometre 29), a DAF FT XF 105.460 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the DAF (a citizen of Belarus) (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
