On Friday, 6 March 2015, in the evening at 21:10, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Kovo 11-osios street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Solaris Trollino 12. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.17‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
