On Sunday, 22 March 2015, in the evening at 21:48, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Čekonys–Debeikiai–Žalioji regional road (kilometre 12), a Subaru Legacy Outback ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Subaru (12 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.85‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
