On Tuesday, 24 March 2015, in the afternoon at 15:23, in Trakų district municipality, on Račkūnų street, at the junction with Saulės street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Ford Mondeo and a Rover 414. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
