On Saturday, 28 March 2015, in the afternoon at 14:16, in Klaipėda, on Taikos pr. near No. 139, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Ford registered in Estonia and a Subaru Outback. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Ford (a citizen of Estonia) (26 years of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings and failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
