On Friday, 3 April 2015, in the evening at 17:43, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Salantai–Grūšlaukė–Benaičiai regional road (kilometre 2.13), a Mazda 626 rolled over. One person died — a 16-year-old passenger of the Mazda (later died from the injuries, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Mazda (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
