On Wednesday, 15 April 2015, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kaunas, on Karaliaus Mindaugo pr. near No. 49, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Meriva and a Renault Megane. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the Opel (22 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
