On Friday, 15 May 2015, in the morning at 5:30, in Pakruojo district municipality, Gegiedžių village, on Kruopinės street near No. 3, a BMW 318 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.89‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
