On Sunday, 17 May 2015, in the afternoon at 15:54, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 101.65), an Iveco 35C13 registered in Latvia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Iveco (a citizen of Latvia) (22 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
