On Wednesday, 27 May 2015, at night at 3:20, in Trakų district municipality, on the Trakai–Vievis national road (kilometre 1), an Audi 80 Avant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
