On Monday, 1 June 2015, in the evening at 20:34, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 25.02), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH 42T, a Feldbinder TSA 33.3 and a Volkswagen Sharan. Two people were injured — a 15-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (hospitalized) and the 49-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Volvo (24 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
