On Wednesday, 10 June 2015, in the evening at 20:15, in Kalvarijos municipality, Žiogaičių village, on the Salaperaugis–Liubavas–Aleksandravas regional road (kilometre 6.83), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 Avant and a Peugeot 307 registered in Poland. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who committed other traffic rule violations and entered the oncoming traffic lane. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
