On Sunday, 14 June 2015, in the evening at 18:30, in Marijampolės municipality, on Sporto street near No. 58, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a BMW 520D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Opel, who committed other traffic rule violations, failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
