On Friday, 3 July 2015, in the evening at around 20:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė national road (kilometre 36.50), a collision occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
