On Monday, 13 July 2015, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kauno district municipality, Akademijos town, on Varžupio street near No. 24, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Pulsar and a Peugeot 206. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 76-year-old driver of the Nissan (54 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
