On Tuesday, 14 July 2015, in the evening at around 18:00, in Vilnius, on Vinciūniškių street near No. 1A, a Volkswagen Jetta hit an obstacle. Two people were injured — a 19-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient) and a 19-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
