On Saturday, 18 July 2015, in the evening at 20:40, in Šilutės district municipality, Armalėnų village, on the Šilalė–Šilutė national road (kilometre 53.76), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 323 and an Audi 80. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.89‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
