On Thursday, 23 July 2015, in the morning at 7:30, in Kaunas, on Birželio 23-iosios street, at the junction with Taikos pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and a Volkswagen Touran. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who violated overtaking rules. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
